Charles Duane Young, 61, of New Castle died unexpectedly late Wednesday at the Henry County Hospital in New Castle.
Charles Duane young Obt Picture    He was born July 15, 1945, in New Castle. He was a retired employee of the Chrysler Corp. of New Castle, retiring in December of 2000 after 36 years of service.
   He is survived by his wife, the former Edna Mae Brown; his father, Forest Hamilton of Sulphur Springs; his stepmother, Carmen Young of Rushville; two daughters, Rolanda (husband: Greg) Boggs of Mooreland and Dana (husband: Shannon) Shaffer of Fairview, Tenn.; two sons, Kevin (wife: Stacey) Young of New Castle and Darrin (wife: Stephanie) Young of Mooreland; two stepchildren, Michael Dewayne Carnes of Mooreland and Amy (companion: Ed Haler) Carnes of Spiceland; 15 grandchildren, Amanda, Allen and Amber Boggs, Emily, Sarah, Scott and Seth Shaffer, Kyle Taylor, Skyler and Mason
Young, Seth Elliott, Kaden Young, Kendrick and Brandon Carnes and Cheyanne Chilton; a great-granddaughter, Kamie Lynn Boggs; three sisters, Sharon (husband: Steve) Bowers of Middletown, Glenna Hamilton of Indianapolis and Penny Sams of Milroy; three brothers, Forest (wife: Jan) Hamilton Jr. of Middletown, Randall (wife: Teresa) Hamilton of Sulphur Springs and Terry (wife: Chris) Young of Greensburg; and a special family friend, Misty Brown of Anderson; an uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chase D. Young and Sarah Rivers Hamilton.
    Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at the Main & Davis Funeral Home Astor Main Blue River Chapel located between Mooreland and Mount Summit on Ind. 36 with Phil Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in the Mooreland Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Henry County Chapter of the American Cancer Society with envelopes available at the funeral home
